Foundation Piling Omokoroa
Specification: Supply and install 31 x 5.4m x 250mm Driven Timber Piles.
Brief; Our scope was to pile an extension to the Omokoroa boat club, which is situated on a soft tidal estuary. Racing against the clock ensured piling was completed within low tide movements while still maintaining the tight environmental restrictions placed on the site.
Karangahake School Piling
Specification: 93 x 600dia bored timber in concrete piles ranging from 4.2m to 13m in length.
Brief; With space limited in the school our challenge was to build out over the bank. The site platform contained difficult slopes and drilling conditions all overcome with a range of drilling gear and processes. King Drilling Company received a New Zealand Contractors Federation construction award for its work on the project.
Rosedale Outfall, North Shore
Specification: Supply 230m3 30mpa concrete, Hauraki Gulf
Brief: Supply pump-able concrete continuously off a barge platform in the Hauraki Gulf. Working with our client McConnell Dowell constructors ltd we prepared material prior to barging, mixing took place over two days. Concrete was mixed into a boom pump supplied by Ian Howe then pumped to the sea floor.
